About Guangxi University
Guangxi University, a regional comprehensive university of teaching and research with a long history, was established in 1928. It is also the only one in Guangxi province which is included as a key university in the National “211 Project”. At present, Guangxi University has 30 colleges, offering nine disciplines of philosophy, economics, law, liberal arts, science, engineering, agriculture, management and education. It offers 97 bachelor degree programs, 186 second-grade master’s degree programs, 58 second-grade doctoral degree programs, and 7 post-doctoral research stations. The present enrollment includes 30,001 full-time undergraduates, 6,148 master’s degree students, 390 doctoral students, 766 international students and 20,000 adult students of continuing education. The university has 3,585 faculty and staff members, with 422 of them being professors (among whom, 144 are doctoral supervisors), and 711 associate professors.
